Artificial Intelligence

AI is changing what we can do.

The more important question is what we choose to do with it.

I have spent more than two decades at the intersection of business, technology and human intelligence.

Long before artificial intelligence became part of our everyday vocabulary, I was fascinated by a much bigger question:

What happens when human intelligence and technology begin to work together?

That question has followed me ever since.

01 — Before AI Became a Conversation

I didn't arrive at AI when ChatGPT arrived.

My relationship with intelligent technology began at university, where I studied Business Information Systems and encountered programming, expert systems and hybrid intelligent systems — technologies designed to combine different forms of intelligence to solve complex problems.

At the time, these ideas belonged largely to universities, research environments and specialized technology.

Today, they are becoming part of everyday life.

The technology has evolved enormously.

The question that interested me then has not.

What becomes possible when we combine what machines can do with what makes us distinctly human?

02 — I Saw the Shift Coming

At the beginning of 2022, before ChatGPT had been released to the world, I was already speaking publicly about a shift I believed was coming.

Artificial intelligence would transform programming.

It would transform digital business.

It would transform marketing and creative work.

And it would change the skills that would matter in the future of work.

I wasn't interested in predicting technology for the sake of being right.

I was interested in what the change would mean for people.

Because every major technological shift eventually becomes a human question.

What will we do differently when machines can do more?

03 — Human Intelligence × Artificial Intelligence

I don't believe the future belongs to artificial intelligence.

I believe it belongs to people who learn how to think with it.

Artificial intelligence can process more.

Analyze faster.

Generate possibilities.

Automate work that once required hours, teams or entire departments.

But greater capability doesn't automatically create better decisions.

As intelligence becomes abundant, something else becomes increasingly valuable.

  • Judgment.
  • Discernment.
  • Experience.
  • Creativity.
  • Context.
  • Taste.
  • Integrity.
  • Courage.

Technology can expand what we are capable of doing.

Human intelligence still has to decide what is worth doing.

That is the intersection that interests me most.

Not human or artificial intelligence.

Human × Artificial Intelligence.

04 — The Real Opportunity

For much of modern business, access determined what was possible.

Access to knowledge.

Access to specialists.

Access to technology.

Access to teams.

Access to capital.

AI is beginning to change that equation.

A single expert can now access capabilities that once required an entire organization.

A founder can think with more perspectives.

A creator can move from an idea to execution faster.

A small business can operate with intelligence that was once available primarily to large companies.

But more tools do not necessarily create more freedom.

Sometimes they simply create more complexity.

The opportunity isn't to surround ourselves with more AI.

It is to build intelligence that actually works together.

05 — Then I Built It.

LHM IQ

A business intelligence system designed to help experts think, build and grow — with intelligence working beside them.

I built LHM IQ around a simple idea:

Technology should not make entrepreneurship more complicated.

It should give us back capacity.

To think.

To create.

To make better decisions.

To build.

And, ultimately, to live.

LHM IQ brings business intelligence into one connected environment designed around the expert and the business they are building.

Not simply another place to ask AI a question.

Not a collection of disconnected tools.

A system designed to turn intelligence into action.

Freedom in your pocket.

06 — And Inside It, Something Very Personal.

Catherine B. Roy AI

My official AI counterpart.

I spent years turning experience, frameworks, strategic thinking and the way I approach business problems into intellectual property. Then I asked a different question:

What if some of that intelligence could be available even when I am not?

Catherine B. Roy AI lives inside LHM IQ — designed to make my strategic thinking available to the people using the system, whenever they need it. Not to replace human relationships. Not to replace judgment. And certainly not to replace me. But to extend access to intelligence beyond the limits of my calendar.

Think with me. Even when I'm not in the room.

07 — Technology Should Create More Life.

I have never been interested in technology simply because it is new. I am interested in what it makes possible.

Can it give someone back time?

Can it make knowledge more accessible?

Can it help an expert turn decades of experience into something bigger than their own calendar?

Can it allow a small business to operate with extraordinary intelligence?

Can it help us build more — while carrying less?

Because if technology gives us greater capability but leaves us with less freedom, I don't believe we have used it particularly well.

The point isn't to become more like machines. The point is to use machines to become more capable humans.

08 — What We Build Next Is Still Our Choice.

Artificial intelligence will continue to evolve.

The tools will change.

The models will change.

What seems extraordinary today will eventually become ordinary.

But the most important questions will remain human.

What are we building?

Why are we building it?

Who does it serve?

What kind of world does it create?

And perhaps most importantly:

What will we do with the intelligence now available to us?

The future isn't artificial intelligence.

It's what human intelligence can become with it.

Love. Kindness. Integrity.

Technology changes. Those don't have to.
